Pale Saints

Where to begin?

Here's as good a place as any. Better to just take the plunge, dive in where it instinctually feels right at this moment, than to dwell on what intellectually makes the most sense.

Let's start with the Pale Saints, a band I've long been aware of, but that I only recently dedicated any significant amount of time to. Jangly, noisy indie pop from 4AD that certainly would've found a place on C86 had they been founded in '86 rather than '87.

Their first full-length, The Comforts of Madness, is a stellar work, but I think its Mrs. Dophin, a compilation of their early EPs, that I dig the most.
